An integrated natural gas company, Williams produces, gathers, processes and transports clean-burning natural gas to heat homes and power electric generation across the country.

Exploration & Production

  • Working to increase reserves through drilling and through pursuing additional acreage and leasing opportunities in areas like the Piceance Basin and the Barnett Shale
  • 900 million cubic feet per day of natural gas production in the United States and abroad
  • 3.9 trillion cubic feet equivalent of natural gas reserves in the United States and abroad
  • 99 percent of our reserves are natural gas
  • Replaced our 2006 U.S. wellhead production of 276 billion cubic feet equivalent at a ratio of 216 percent
  • U.S. interests are in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma
  • International interests are predominantly in Argentina
  • Named the 2006 Hydrocarbon Producer of the Year at the Global Energy Awards

Midstream

  • Nine gas processing plants
  • Eight separation/dehydration/treating plants
  • 8,500 miles of gas gathering lines
  • Deepwater infrastructure
  • Capacity to gather billions of cubic feet per day of natural gas
  • Capacity to process and treat billions of cubic feet per day of natural gas
  • Large-scale capacity to produce natural gas liquids

Gas Pipeline

  • Operates approximately 14,600 miles of interstate natural gas pipeline
  • Gas pipeline design capacity of more than 11 billion cubic feet per day
  • Transports enough gas to heat 30 million homes on a winter day
  • Delivers approximately 12 percent of natural gas consumed in United States
  • Seasonal storage capacity of more than 230 billion cubic feet
  • Three pipelines: Transco, Northwest and Gulfstream (partially owned by Williams)
